MY POETRY THREE

AUTUMN (Haiku)

leaves become well-draped colorful coffins falling to their final rest 18 Apr 2001 MUD (haiku) earth is a muddy-go-round choking in its greed controlled by a sea of sharks 22 Apr 2001 Dr. Carlyle Miller (pantoum) Your Poems do implore To seek the truth Between the lines for more Before I lose my youth To seek the truth I must justify Before I lose my youth If nothing but to clarify I must justify Your reason to rhyme If nothing but to clarify Why you took the time Your reason to rhyme Reads like a mirror to me Why you took the time To show what's hard to see Reads like a mirror to me Releasing pent up emotions To show what's hard to see Creating sad tears that fill oceans Releasing pent up emotions Between the lines for more Creating happy tears that fill oceans Your Poems do implore 30 Apr 2001 QUALITY OF LIFE (haiku) life should be measured not by how deeply we breathe but by what takes breath away 05, May 2001 DADDY (pantoum) (Philip M. Banner) (Oct. 1920 - Oct. 1997) For me, you were always there I really miss you Can you still keep me in Prayer? Everything is an issue I really miss you Help me with intervention Everything is an issue Guide me away from tension Help me with intervention I need to focus Guide me away from tension The world is like a circus I need to focus I need serenity now The world is like a circus Listen to my Prayers, somehow I need serenity now In the world within Hear my Prayers, somehow From where they begin In the world within Can you still keep me in Prayer? From where they begin For me, you are always there 09 May 2001 ONE POET TO ANOTHER Now I can write like you And share everything, old and new To a world that is starved For feelings delicately carved Between the lines Are so much more Not just rhymes But reflections to adore So, while in solitude Reflect and look around Give yourself some latitude And lift your spirits off the ground We are all reflecions Of one another There are no deceptions Only new ways to eliminate, misconceptions © 10 Sept. 2006 re-writen Adam (tanka) my greatest blessing from God is my Son, Adam he is oak, i am acorn my love for him grows with every waking moment 16 July 2001 A MICROCOSMIC DREAM I was climbing a mountain One day with friends Suddenly I noticed An opening Naturally I had to investigate So I checked my rope That was tied to them It was tight around my waist And I felt sure that I could endure Whatever was about to happen Though I was feeling a little insecure I led and my Brave friends, followed Only strong friendship links, were between us It was a long tunnel with an abyss below There was a ledge to walk along A light was at the end of the tunnel There were many branches to hold onto As we bravely walked on Hiding our fears When we reached the end There was a bright light I needed a different perspective So, I asked to be swung to the other side I landed on a ledge, grabbed a branch And peeked out I could not believe what I saw Another world was out there There was a giant woman out there I had to look again Then when I looked straight ahead I was surprised to see where I was My aura caused a tiny sparkle in her eye And she was loeve that I was actually in her Peeking out of her eye! Talk about being a pupil For the sake of learning! And the best was yet to happen When I looked at her face I realized that she was me A gigantic replica of me! It was like the microcosmic And Macrocosmic finally met I felt like I was her very soul Yet, I was afraid to shout or cry Afraid to fall into the black hole So I hung on a branch of nerves in her eye I told my friends, that I saw a giant a very beautiful woman I thought it best To wait to tell them the rest I said, before I get wiped out, lets go back And quickly swung to the other side Carefully I followed my friends Till we came back to the opening After a sigh of relief I began to laugh As I told them who I saw, at the end of the path My friends just looked at me in disbelief If I had known, that I also lived within I would have taken better care of myself And, I also learned, from this dream That, "Life is not all, what it may seam" © May 20, 2001 Rev.
