When I thought all was lost,
I found hope in my heart,
And all was not lost.
When I thought my strength was gone,
I found more than I had ever known,
And just when it was needed.
When I thought I could not go further,
I found that I had already gone farther,
And looked back at those standing still.
When I thought I would never find what I sought,
I found it sitting in front of me,
And realized I looked too hard.
When I thought the pain would never stop,
I found that it would,
And felt the wound heal.
When I thought love was all for nothing,
I found the person I was seeking,
And discovered love can be deep and true. |
