Realization

 I realized that in many ways all of you shaped me.

Not only changed me,

But you made me.

That a part of my soul deep down in side,

Knew as I cried,

Part of me died.

BUT, this I know to be true,

I was reborn,

I was renewed.

Not for or by a man or by his love for myself,

But by loving myself,

Truly and deeply,

I learned to love myself.

That freed me from the pain,

The emotions that hit like a train,

From the tears falling like rain,

For now I walk with my head held high.

Full of my pride,

From deep inside.

This is my realization.
