Loving Walk
We are standing in the street one night
I look at your hair glistening in the moonlight
Admiring your beautiful sight
Looking at your sparkling eyes
And your shining smile
I take you into my arms
Holding you close as we look up at the sky
And see a star shooting by
You turn your head toward mine
I sit there wishing this would last forever
Sitting there longing to kiss your sweet lips
As we kiss
And I get this feeling of bliss
The screen clears
And the darkness appears
I sit up and look around
But do not hear a sound
I sit there thinking of reality lost
Wondering why I must pay this cost
Then rays of light come in
And I start my boring day again
I walk by and see you standing there
Oblivious to how I feel
Unaware my heart you steal
I notice you looking in my direction
I stand there wondering what you are looking at
I know it is not me
Or if it is me, the looks one would
Give an ox I should receive
How else would one look at
A hideous beast such as myself
I understand why we will never be
For I lack the courage you see
As time passes more of a xenophobe I become
To keep my heart from being torn apart
A lonely person I am destined to be
For all eternity Alone I will be
