Three Poems
By David Gecic

Published in The Anti-Mensch II (January 1997)

POEM

All her doors were numbered
and she paid to sleep by the hour
but she always had the Bible in arms reach
whenever she needed comfort

POEM

Weary from battles
that rage at night
I rise
Thinking of you
God, there has never been such a lover

POEM

You said I looked like I was in pain
when we made love
You looked like you were in heaven
and when you reached down
to lean against my chest
to steady yourself
I was touched by angels wings.
