The Puddin'head Press and Collage Productions host their 8th annual reading
from James Joyce’s Ulysses. Bloomsday in Chicago presents fifteen excerpts
from the book that The Modern Library ranked first on its list of the 100
best English-language novels of the 20th century, the two hour presentation
will encapsulate the events of 16 June 1904 as experienced by Stephen Dedalus,
Leopold and Molly Bloom, and a host of other characters from James Joyce’s Dublin.
The emcee for the evening will be Chicago playwright and novelist Jeff Helgeson,
and the readings will feature a number of local actors, as well as authors whose
works have been published by Puddin’head Press. 2nd floor - $5.00 donation at the door.
