JOHN HILLMAN


John Hillman lived most of his adult life in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. John attended readings at numerous venues, including readings in Oak Lawn, Palos Heights, Orland Park, the Borders Bookstore on 95th Street, Kristihoff's Cafe in the Pilson neighborhood of Chicago, and The Gossip Cafe in Blue Island. He also occassionally visited The Wildlife Refuge in Kansasville, Wisconsin.

John was well known for his readings at The Lake Catherine Nature Center.

He was also well known for his "Outsider" art and had several art openings. Some of his peices have appeared at the INTUIT Gallery in Chicago.

John suffered from several medical conditions during his lifetime. But he died of a sudden heart attack on January 24th of 2006.
