Nina Corwin is a social worker, guitarist, and poet living in Chicago. She is the author of one collection of poetry, Conversations With Friendly Demons And Tainted Saints (The Puddin'head Press, 1999, 2004), and co-editor of Inhabiting The Body: A Collection of Poetry and Art by Women (Moon Journal Press, 2002). She is the co-host of the River Oak Art reading series. She has performed thoughout the country, regularly collaborating with a variety of musicians, dancers and other poets. Some of these include the CUBE contemporary chamber ensemble, dancer/choreographer Regina Lavery and the Serendipity Percussion Ensemble. She was nominated for a Pushcart Prize at the end of 2008. Nina's poetry appears or is forthcoming in such publications as: ACM, Atlanta, Bayou, Hotel Amerika, Mudfish, Poetry East, Slipstream, and Southern Poetry Review, as well as the anthologies Visiting Frost (University of Iowa Press, 2005) and Poetic Voices Without Borders (Gival Press). She has received awards from the Illinois Arts Council and the Illinois State Poetry Society.
