Judith Valente is a correspondent with PBS and Chicago Public Radio. She has worked previously as a staff writer for The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, and People Magazine. She is the author of a poetry chapbook, Inventing The Alphabet, which won the 2004 Aldrich Poetry Prize. She is Co-editor along with her husband, Charles Reynard of Twenty Poems to Norish Your Soul. She has won an Illinois Arts Council Poetry Award, and The Jo-Anne Hirshfiled Poetry Prize.
