
Clark Elliott has written poetry all his life and has been a member of the PSO
for ten years. Although he writes
on all subjects he has a love for humor.
The following poem, 20 20, won 1st
place in the National Contest last year.
20/20
When she awoke this morning
Her face would stop a clock,
So she made an appointment
To see her family medical Doc.
Saying, “when I looked in the
mirror
Clark Elliott
My hair was rather frizzy,
Both eyes were kind of bloodshot
And I looked a little dizzy.
There were wrinkles on my
cheeks
And furrows lined my brow,
A wart was on my nose
That’s why I’m seeing you now.
What's wrong with me Doctor”
She said with heavy
sighs,
He said, “I don’t know lady
But
it’s certainly not your eyes
