POEM EXCERPTS

EXPRESSIONS FROM WANDA

WOMEN

Women are something special in the sight of God,
Especially in Jesus footsteps women must trod,
God created us from Adams's rib
To walk side by side with our man,
And by his side with a gentle spirit, with him we must stand,
We must set the atmosphere most importantly in our homes,
To calm down our children and create a peaceful dome,
Women who work have a double job to do,
Take care of our man and and run the household too,
Greet our man at the door with a smile and a kiss,
Have his supper ready, with his plate already fixed,
Honey, how was your day, I had you on my mind,
Read his facial expressions, it will give you a sign,
Tell him that you love him, hold him in your arms,
Rub his head gently, caress him with your charms,
You know what you did to get him, that smile, that innocent look,
So in love, that romance could have been captured in a book,
Kept yourself so desirable, hair, not a strand out of place,
Eyes all sparkling with love, look at you now, can't see a trace,
Where did the love go?
What happen to our romance?
Somewhere along this journey, we women, decided to put on the pants,
Don't know how it started, respect just went out the door,
Now it's what you say that matters,
His authority got slapped on the floor,

This poem is a very powerful poem that will anger most of us women first.
But after the initial shock of the words set in, reality will take over.
This poem will cause you to think, meditate, pray and rethink again.
Ladies our husbands, our companions,
our soul mates are a ministry,
given to us by God.

Proverb 18:22, Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.

WOUNDS THAT NEVER HEALED
JUNE 1994

His words ripped my mind and caused a stabbing pain,
No apologies came forth and it started to rain,
That cut placed on my heart, the blood; it's flowing fast,
As time went by it never healed, soon it became part of my past,
I'm still bleeding,
Their words ripped at my insides and thelies tore me up within,
I suffered cuts and abrasions,
No one tht day did win,

This is one of my favorites because our words can cut deeper
than any knife can penetrate.
Our words can cause pain, suffering, bruising that will last us a lifetime.
If we don't seek healing from God Almighty, we will suffer
and bleed inside the rest of our lives.
Words can hurt and leave deep, open cuts inside our hearts.
We must be very careful of what comes out of our mouths.
