As my Christmas Ham Freezes in the Sky

(on a show closing)

As my Christmas ham freezes in the sky,
I watch.
Cupids encircle the earth and enlight the air,
and faces, dozens of blank faces, run to
their loved ones.
I congratulate everyone on a great show
and watch my breath linger in the air.
A cold, lonely car; I miss Charlie.
Haven't seen him since Friday.
Forgot my crendalin...going back---
why should I look back?
At the door, I realize I am hungry.
I've been hungry for what seems like an eternity,
but my last-resort meal has just taken wing.
I only hope Jenna's still upstairs.
