.Profile.

A few quick facts?

I live in NYC, I'm 15, and I am absolutely out of my mind. But there is absolutely nothing wrong with that; I think it is very important to be crazy.

Now time to get idiosyncratic... and more to the point...

I am a poet
I am a music junkie
a love junkie
a caffeine junkie
I am constantly going crazy, and loving it
I am a work in progress, a beautiful work at that
I live for art, I see art, hopefully I be art too.
I am in touch with myself, nature, and the cosmic universe in its entirety.
My symbol is the Platypus.
My ally is the Spatula.
I once brought a lightning storm over Cape Cod.
I want to enjoy.
I want to enlighten.
I want inspiration.
I want to create.
my world revolves around the Walrus,
and I am searching for Jesuses,
all 27 of them.
I am very egotistical; I am a delusion of grandeur.
This allows me to be happy.

I think that reality is a fucked up place,
and it is important to leave it
and ascend to the higher plane
at least once every day.

I think it is important to do your bit
to change reality
for the better.

I think it is important to put more life into the world
than you take.

I think it is important to live a unique experience.

Oh yeah, I took a few standard questions off of a profile for this question; if you want any q & a type thing going on... ask me a few questions in your email... maybe i can add on to this profile and whatnot?

I enjoy meeting interesting people
I enjoy meeting people who find me interesting
I enjoy having somebody to be there for me
I enjoy being there for others

if your emailing me would meet any of these criteria, then it sounds like a good deal.

Music?

Music, shall we talk of music? Oh how I cherish the opportunity to talk about music... most of my friends get tired of hearing it since my tastes can be so strange and eclectic...

I like my pleasure spiced with pain
and music is my aeroplane
it’s my aeroplane

Currently, I have a collection of 178 CDs. it is my most prized possession. Almost all of the money I scrounge up goes towards adding to this collection. My taste in music is eclectic in the greatest sense of the word. I will soon proceed to list you some of my favorite bands/CDs/songs...
but first I wish to stress the point that... music is love. music is god. music is the higher plane. music can get you high. music can make you fly. it is important to be open to all kinds of music and to search out the best, most revolutionary, most trippy music that is most suitable to you.

Movies?

My favorite movie is American Beauty. It is hard to express in so few words how amazing a movie it is and how immense an impact it has made on my life and my soul. Rickie Fitts’s paper bag appeared to me in the form of a robin the day after I saw the movie; ever since, everything has been beautiful.
The philosophical and societal implications that can be gathered are quite bitching in their own right as well.

My two favorite directors are John Waters and Richard Linklater.
Richard Linklater is responsible for interesting movies as Slacker, Suburbi@, and Waking Life (out in theaters now)
John Waters is responsible for such delightfully tasteless movies as Pink Flamingoes, Female Trouble, Serial Mom, Cecil B. Demented, Pecker

Other unrelated favorite movies (a list that I will add to as I think of them):
The Velocity of Gary
The Big Lebowski
Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai
Requiem For a Dream
Being John Malkovich
Boys Don't Cry
Stiff Upper Lips

Books?

My favorite book is Portrait of the Walrus By a Young Artist, by Laurie Foos. I recommend it to everyone who is willing to take that voyage of madness, surrealism and inspiration. It is an inspiring book; it is a major cause of my Poet’s mentality.
Highly, highly recommended-- I beg you to read it!

a very incomplete list of books that I have enjoyed recently:
The Teachings of Don Juan, by Carlos Castaneda
The Basketball Diaries, by Jim Carroll
Women, by Charles Bukowski
Caucasia, by Danzy Senna
American Dreams, by Sapphire
Rule of the Bone, by Russel Banks
Round Ireland With a Fridge, by Tony Hawks
... um there are more books I could mention, but once again, I don't have time to start compiling a list that is at all complete...

Philosophy, etc.
I believe in using your life to put more life into the world (art can be substituted for life), and in making as much impact upon the world in a way that it turns to be more alike your conception of a better world. And I believe that you should enjoy yourself while doing it.
I believe that, ideally, in order to be happy, one is at peace with their self, with the natural world, and with the Higher Plane.
As for what I do to create?
the art form that I have the most passion and talent for is undoubtedly writing. In past years, I have written many bizarre short stories. In the past 6 months, I have written strictly poetry; at this moment, I:
am nearing the completion of my third poetry notebook (my Blood Book)
have approximately 550 pages of poetry in these three notebooks
and approximately 250 individual poems that I consider to be of a respectable quality.

What I do to make an impact on the world?
political activism is good. I am extremely radical (this is because I am idealistic), whether I think that anarchy or socialism would actually work is disputable, because humans in general suck and wouldn’t be able to hand such an ideal system. Whether it would ever happen, too, is disputable, when the world is at the hands of greed and the people are too brainwashed by Corporate Culture to take stand. So as much as I like the idea of a full-scale revolution, I am happy to settle towards trying to make things a little more liberal...
so what have I done?
I worked briefly on Ralph Nader’s campaign for president.
I volunteered extensively on civil liberties advocate Norman Siegel’s campaign for Public Advocate here in NYC (he lost, which was a great shame)
I did political research for this same Norman Siegel, once for when he was preparing Senator Leahy to question John Ashcroft on the administration’s post 9-11 anti-terrorism strategies.

Do I enjoy life?
With the exception of a few mediocre periods here and there, I enjoy life immensely, and at most moments in recent times I have been able to call myself the happiest person in the world. Even though that is most certainly not true, all that matters is if you are able to say it is true.

And I enjoy life because...
I am at peace with myself. I love myself, I am enamored by myself, I am egotistical and I feel that it is with good reason (as any good egotist should). I build up delusions of grandeur so that I am able to feel that I am an all-trippy divine entity of some sort. Unless this delusion be pierced, I am at peace with myself.
I am at peace with the natural world. At one point this summer, I was so at one with nature that, with the aid of two plastic spatulas, I was able to bring a lightning storm over the Cape Cod area.
I relate to the divine in many ways, usually by doing a combination of them at the same time.
- listening to trippy music
- beating the bongo drums
- meditation
- tantric interpretive dance

Ascend!

and then there is writing and reciting poetry. What would I ever do without it?
And I try to know at all times that I am but a delusion of grandeur, and that all I am experiencing is chemical reactions.
But I pay this science no heed, for with divine power I believe that one can overcome science mathematics and all laws of any sort!
I like to eat raw heads of cabbage.
I think the entire world should have a giant feast of rhubarb pie (having been offered to Lord Krsna before consumption, of course)
