It’s got a sore of some sort
on the very tip.

Unbearable pain
in small magnitude
distinct
compact
articulate.

Felt incessantly in my tongue
but not acknowledged by my intellect
unless I think about it
while dipping my tongue into my cavities
to displace chunks of chewed food.

Constant agony
it puts me in a misery!

I shall sleep now
so that I do not know this pain.
Night has a way of
making pain go away
healing the day.
