Trip to the Mint
I walk through the US Mint
Posters on the wall glorify currency
I look through the tourist window
They're pressing pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters
To be discarded, put in slot machines, in cups of beggars
They're making dollar bills out of paper
Cutting down trees
To create the catalyst of greed
Which then propels the businessmen
To cut down more trees
Destroying the beauty of trees
and of themselves, as
Nobody loves the greed-driven
Nobody loves those who
Are responsible for the downfall.

Downfall of our environment
The coming-about of global warming
Downfall of our souls
When love is replaced with greed
And beauty is replaced by money
And green trees are replaced by green greed-propellants
