People see me walk
woodchips swinging from my neck
shaggy hair flopping my top
in black
with a heavy neon-green jacket
should the temperature be cold
--But My Glare is Colder
than any weather
My eyes are bolder
my strength is better
I am hot enough to make you smolder.
The world is never cold enough
my jacket brings me sweat
yet the world is never warm either
my fingers stiffen
my nose sniffles
as it runs away
from this world
which I walk
that is never quite right
it just can’t get things straight
the world I walk is crazy
but I won’t accept fate
I won’t be lazy
I will walk
harder and longer as needed
until my call be heeded
I will pound the earth
with all my foot's might
I will fight for what's right
for my rights
for our rights
I will disobey streetlights
for only I know
when is best for me to go
I will stare down cars
those pigs what think they are
so full of horsepower.
A horse has life
a car hasn’t lived an hour
thus, the power of cars is a lie
if the living try
the pulses in their veins
overthrow any oppressive reigns
