Honorary Tree
Well I'm riding on a bus, right?
Listening to my new Radiohead CD, right?
So I look out the window for a sec...
And, damn, there's a lot of green out there
All these trees, you know?
The roadside is infested with trees
Such an imbalance of color, it infects me
I am taken by the rustling leaves
They are no longer controlled by the breeze
They rustle of their own accord
They take me, abduct me as if a UFO
And I rustle greenly amongst them
Until two putrid orange trucks drive by
The color of the trucks disgusts and disrupts
The breeze comes back, the trees rustle uniform
And I'm back on the bus
But I remember the moment I was an honorary tree
Til those fucking trucks destroyed our unity
