Will this blind patriocy’s fall from grace
happen because
the people realize, finally, that
this war is wrong
this government is against well-being
of people
of animals
of all living things
in this nation
and other nations
--the entire world--
will they realize?
or just become weary of seeing flags on every corner,
become restless
in waiting
for another governmentally corporate manufactured
symbol to devote themselves to.

… some brilliant someone or another
sitting in a desk around the oval office
will soon conceive a brand new master plan
to keep the citizens committed
and constant
sedated by nationalism.
