Dominance
Two Neanderthals,
decked in superhero spandex
gruff,
vie,
compete to not die,
to reproduce or to pin
dependin’
is this wrestling or life
struggle, anger, hatred jealousy
desire
bonds amongst mounds of muscular flesh,
crash,
throats are soar and screaming,
rough, rubbed by grunting,
runts are trampled
skewered by antlers,
by claws scratching at
hides dried and stretched over drums,
pounding like hearts,
in desire
or in grappling
to conquer
the male dominance hierarchy,
to be at the tip of the iceberg,
so cold,
nothing is warm when competing,
the Titanic crashes
the steerage dies
tossed to salty waves like rubbish
when competing
rubbish,
bodies rub,
smelly, oily,
coily,
like a coil pot,
welding clay,
spinning like planets on the wheel,
feels
like primordial
struggle,
or like ethereal
sex,
dissipates like
flesh buried in dirt,
alie, screaming wind through voice box,
scratching with shit-caked fingernails,
pounding with jagged rock-cut fisted knuckles,
hearts,
pounding,
blood, pumping,
veins veins veins
struggle
are slit,
the teenage dominance hierarchy
the manic depression
of those who do not compete,
are selected against,
by discord,
of the crashing
universe,
created not out of love by a pie or a pop in the sky
but by a
Big Bang,
bang,
like a gun,
you are selected against
and your chest is pierced by a
Big Bang,
your heart
creating
a new universe
your soul solitary,
alone,
forever
