Contents of a Cigarette Walking around
on the streets of my city
I see cigarettes congesting the ground
but I look through the cigarettes
and I see poison
chemical devastation of bodies, minds and lives
look through the poison
I see corporations
I see Phillip Morris et al.
I see an entity
more poisonous than any snake or spider
I see a parasite
feasting on the well-being of others in order to survive
sinking its fangs into our lungs
and as it sucks the breath of our world
I can see through the corporations
I see greed
The very embodiment of greed
Having no concern but that for money
green pieces of paper which represent
greed, repeat greed, the very most evil force ever to exist
which has done more destruction than could possibly be imaginable
