One More Reason Why
Every morning,
the sun rises in my eyes
starting my day
and I wonder as a bird flies
will today be a better one?
will it go my way?
or will it be as bad as the one before?
is it worth opening a new door?
I got to try to find
one more reason why
Every time,
I meet a beautiful girl
my heart tells me
go ahead and give it a whirl
even though my past says
hurt is all you’ll be
you have to go out and try
try and you will get by
just trying to find
one more reason why.
Every night,
after a long and busy day
I lay in my bed
and let my thoughts float away
about the things I've done
and the things I've said.
it’s not very often
when i miss a night to cry I always seem to find
one more reason why.
