The Door
dark and unknowing
what is beyond my door
yet my mind wandering
wanting to explore
closer I approach
to pull it open wide
why am I curious
to what is inside?
what is beyond
this frame I'm in
afraid to go forward
fearing for to sin
always curious to
what lies unknown
but when time is right
will it all be shown?
every pondering
now meaningless
once I stand
in holiness
so why risk finding
what is now unknown
ignorance may be the
best thing ever known
so next time when exploring
you want to open the door
think of the wonderful thing
that you ignore
