Deadly Lace
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
creeping icy tendrils
steal across my window
crystalline lace
deadly and delicate
gone in an instant
with the advent of Spring.

The Baggage we Carry
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
plain brown boxes
compartmentalize my life
reduced to and engulfed in
pulped hardened paper

...how much trivia humans deem valuable
and
in the end
reduced
to plain brown boxes

Price Check (an Exploration of Strip Mining)
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
Loving arms cradle life
then torn asunder
yielding Black Death

Deep shadows beckon within
while wounds weep
vomiting Black Death

Verdure withers
pockets glean green
embracing Black Death

Silence Within
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
Dim rooms
harbor
leather bound fugitives while
dusty musty odors
linger
in silent archives.

Obscure stacks
meander
amid arid memories as
wordless discourse
utters
volumes.

The Yielding
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
kneading, rolling, pinching, punching
the clay yields to my fingers, my hands
gazing but not seeing, the form evolves
pushing, poking, slapping, stroking
life comes to death, awaiting rebirth

Within the Minds Eye
Topic: Non Metered Poetry
Golden wood lies supine supremely untroubled
with hidden gifts waiting silently within
to be roughly released by adz, gouge, and rasp
roughly hewn, surrendering sliver by sliver
until sweating hands lovingly sand into satin
that which is no longer simply seen in the minds eye.
