SLOW DOWN THE PACE

SLOW DOWN THE PACE

Slow down the pace a little,
It's too fast for me.
Life is flying by so swift,
And there is yet so very much to see.

Yesterday has passed away,
And today is halfway spent.
What will tomorrow bring,
A life that's more content?

What promise do we have,
Of peace and joyous contentment,
When there are those with disbelief's,
And want to live with great resentment.

Time has passed that we recall,
When evil lurked in the minds of men,
And not always blatantly displayed,
So the good in man could transcend

Trust is something long forgotten,
In those we place our reliance.
They do the will of wickedness,
To become wealthy by compliance.

Is there still a place on earth,
Where crime is wrong and not the norm,
Or do we have to ware a cloak of hate,
To weather this damnable storm?

Malicious gangs and perverted minds,
Are now the common way to think and live.
Lets fight this two headed dragon,
With God - until we have no more to give.

Slow down the pace a little,
So I can dismount this raving steed.
I would like to be with the harvest,
And not burn in hell with the weed.
