Set music to my heart

Sweep me far beyond

where earthly wings can fly

Unfetter this tiny sparrow

From the tangle of the briar

And set me off upon a rush of wings

With a nudge toward the sky

Lay in my path your wonders

bronze dawns and sunsets of gold

And verge upon yonder horizon

morn’s gleaming rays of hope

Be kind to guide my footsteps

veer my footfall from the stone

And in the midnight darkness

Whisper to me whilst I dream

For I am apt as a child

To reach for your hand to hold

If by chance I wander farther

Than your shadow falls

For as through life I fare my way

You are all that’s good I’ll know

And to you I am beholden

For Lord you never fail to
