Sometimes peace is prayed for

In a million hearts

And oftentimes we wonder

Why peace just won’t come

Why we must bear

To part with our beloved

Who confront the enemy of evil

Which threatens from afar

And why in this age we live

Why anyone should

be taken from within the reach

Of their loved ones arms

Yet it seems the burden somehow falls

On those like you who didn’t ask for a fight

Yet being the hero that you are

Ready themselves for battle to defend their own

So know we wont stop praying

With our fellow countryman by our sides

For the Lord to keep you safe from harm

And may his loving hand guide you

Safely home

And till then I’ll remember

you can’t be too far away

For Its here your shadow falls

Each time you cross our minds

And linger in our dreams.
