That Summer

I went to work for her that summer

Teenage kid so far from home

She was a lonely widowed woman

Hell-bent to make it on her own

We were a thousand miles from no where

Wheat fields as far as I could see

Both needin' somethin' from each other

Not knowin' yet what it might be

"Lance? You done pitchin' that hay?" Kristin Jamison called out the back door of the house to the hard-working blond who was standing half naked in front of a large pile of hay that sat in a truck. He looked up at her and wiped the sweat off his brow.

"Almost done, ma'am." he called back.

"Well, when you're done come in. Lunch is ready."

"Yes ma'am."

Kristin watched Lance work from the window of the kitchen. When her husband had died a year before, she didn't know how she would run the farm by herself. But, being the amazingly-talented and resourceful woman she was, the young widow put fliers up in the small Mississippian town about an hour and a half away for a strong young man to help her with the hard chores. Many had applied, knowing that the young wife of the former Jamison farmer was a sight for sore eyes and therefore wanted a chance to see her every day. Kristin forsaw this, and therefore had a very careful screening process.

Lance Bass had come to her towards the end. He was shy but willing to work hard and from what she could make out, he didn't seem to know much about her. She liked that and had hired him. However, she found herself becoming more and more attracted to the eighteen-year-old as time passed by and, having not been in a relationship for a year, felt the need to have a man.

Lance, as she had noticed, was gorgeous. He had light, jade-green eyes that gave a off a natural glow. His nose was perfect. His lips were beautiful. His body was toned and amazingly handsome. He had a flawless rear end. He was, in every way, her ideal man.

'Til she came to me one evening

Hot cup 'a coffee and a smile

In a dress that I was certain

She hadn't worn in quite awhile

There was a difference in her laughter

There was a softness in her eye

And in the air there was a hunger

Even a boy could recognize

Lance looked up from where he was working at his desk in the small room Kristin had lent him during his time at the farm. She was standing at his door, leaning against the frame, smiling warmly at him with a cup of coffee in her hand. He smiled back, slowly closing the Calculus book he had been looking over. She sauntered over to him and put the coffee on the desk in front of him before taking a seat on his bed.

Lance had always found Kristin attractive. She wasn't much older than him, having married young to an older man, and therefore he found nothing strange about being attracted to her. She was beautiful, with long brown hair, big brown eyes framed by long eyelashes, a slender, curvy body, and long, tanned legs. He had seen her in her cut-off shorts and tank tops and wondered how, even from a long distance, she had the ability to give him the most painful hard-ons.

That night, however, she was stunning. She was in a sundress that he hadn't seen her in before and he was certain she hadn't worn in it since before her husband's death. It showed off her curves very nicely and her long legs protruded through the thin material as it hung softly around her thighs. He took a deep breath and looked at her.

"So," he said. "What are your plans tonight?"

"Well, I was wonderin' if you and I could talk down by the pond. I mean, it's a beautiful night and I really don't like walkin' there by myself and I thought that we should get to know each other better. You HAVE been workin' for me for a couple weeks now."

"I have, ma'am. And I would be honored to accompany you but I really have to start studyin'. I have college in the fall and I think I'm forgettin' all my Math....."

"Lance, you study every night. I'm sure one night won't kill ya." She looked at him with her big brown eyes. "It's just one night."

"Well," He smiled slightly. "I suppose one night won't kill me." She smiled.

"That's my boy. Let's go."

She had a need to feel the thunder

To chase the lightnin' from the sky

To watch the storm with all it's wonder

Ragin' in her lover's eyes

She had to ride the heated passion

Like a comet burnin' bright

Rushin' long end of the wind

Where only dreams had been

Burnin' both ends of the night

They walked to the pond and she pulled out a blanket from the basket she was holding. She laid one down and sat, motioning him to sit next to her. He sat and she brought out a thermos of coffee. She poured him some and gave it to him. However, as he was taking it, it slipped from his hands and spilled over his shirt and shorts.

"Oh my God, I'm sorry." she said. He looked at her.

"It wasn't you. It was me." He sighed. "I better go change."

"No, stay. Take off your shirt and shorts. I was gonna go swimming anyway and you might as well join me."

"I....uh....you.....swim?" he stuttered. She smiled slightly.

"Sure. What, you bashful? Honey, I've seen a man in boxers before. It wouldn't be anything new. I mean, I'm going in naked and I don't feel bashful so I don't think you should be bashful." His innocent green eyes widened.

"You......naked?" he said, the significant change in the pitch of his normally-deep voice showing his surprise and arousal.

"Sure." She smiled, pulling him to his feet. "Come on."

That summer wind was all around me

Nothin' between us but the night

And when I told her that I'd never....

She softly whispered "That's alright"

And then I watched her hands of leather

Turn to velvet in a touch

There's never been another summer

When I have ever learned so much

"Ma'am, I don't think this is such a good idea. I mean, it's late and you don't know what's in that pond...."

"Ok, first you should start callin' me Kristin. Second, I've been swimmin' in this pond ever since I was a little girl. I know what's in it and trust me, it's fine." She walked to the edge and kicked off her sandals, pulling off her sundress to reveal to Lance her shapely rear-end. "Come on."

"Jesus Christ." he whispered as she dove into the water. She came up and looked at him.

"Come on, Lance. I won't bite you."

He was unsure whether the tone of her voice was playfulness or something else, but whatever it was, he was aroused. It would be embarassing for him to get into the water with a hard-on.

"I don't......I don't think I want to swim right now."

"How can you not want to swim? It's real hot."

"I just...." He tried to think of an excuse but couldn't come up with anything.

"Do you want me to come out and drag you in?" she asked, enjoying the look on his face.

"No! No, you stay in there. I'll.....ok. I'll come in." He took a deep breath and pulled his shirt off. He blushed to see her watching him. "Do you have to watch me?"

"Sorry. I'll turn around." she said, turning and swimming around. He pulled his shorts off and quickly dove into the pond.

"There. I'm in." he said.

"Thank you. See, that wasn't too hard, now, was it?" She swam over to him. "Don't you like the water? I think it's a beautiful temperature." She sighed and stood, revealing most of her upper body. "I love it when the water's like this."

"I....uh....Kristin?" he choked, trying to look away but finding her breasts to gorgeous to look away from. She smiled and slowly swam to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and trailing her hand up and down his chest.

"Lance," she said. "I'm sure you've heard this by many girls you're age, but you're a gorgeous young man. However, I find you gorgeous and very sweet and extremely hard-working and to tell you the truth that is a very large turn-on."

"I....uh...." He closed his eyes and swallowed hard. "Kristin, I'm a virgin." he blurted out. She smiled softly and led him to the edge of the pond.

"That's alright." she softly whispered. "I'll teach you everything you need to know."

We had a need to feel the thunder

To chase the lightnin' from the sky

To watch the storm with all it's wonder

Ragin' in each other's eyes

We had to ride the heated passion

Like a comet burnin' bright

Rushin' long end of the wind

Where only dreams had been

Burnin' both ends of the night

She walked over to the blanket and motioned him to follow her. He sat awkwardly next to her. She smiled and softly pushed him against the blanket, kissing him. He kissed her back and she smiled, glad that he at least knew how to kiss. She ran her hands down his chest and felt him shiver slightly when she pushed his boxers down. He kicked them off and looked up at her with his innocent eyes.

She kissed down his chest and back up again, letting her hand graze his erection. He groaned, closing his eyes and she knew then that he had gotten a hand-job before. She kissed him again.

"How far have you gotten with a girl?" she asked.

"I...uh....second...no....third base." She smiled.

"So someone's sucked you off?" He blushed.

"Yes."

"Ok." She kissed him again, kissing his neck and taking his hand, leading it to her breast. He quickly drew away but she took his hand again. She saw the lust start to burn in his eyes and he kissed her deeply, rolling her over so she was under him and started caressing her body. She gasped.

"Lance, if you've gone to third does that mean you've gone down on a girl?"

"Once."

"Ok." He looked up at her.

"Do you want me to?"

"No, come here." She kissed him again and pulled him down on top of her. She could feel his erection against her stomach and the slowness was driving her insane.

She pushed him down again and straddled his hips, slowly bringing herself down on him. He groaned, arching his back slightly and she had to take a few deep breaths to control herself before slowly starting to circulate her hips. This was just the beginning.

She didn't know when it was but suddenly she felt him moving beneath her. Then she felt his hands on her hip, guiding her up and down. She moaned as she rode him, feeling her moment slowly approaching. He gasped, closing his eyes as he started moving faster. She kissed him deeply.

"Lance......oh God......." she moaned, whipping her head back as she felt her body tremble in her first orgasm in a year. He groaned and she felt him explode within her. She fell against his chest, kissing his neck.

I often think about that summer

The sweat, the moonlight and the lace

And I have rarely held another

When I haven't seen her face

And every time I pass a wheatfield

And watch it dancin' in the wind

Although I know it isn't real

I just can't help but feel

Her hungry arms again

Lance stood at the edge of the wheatfield he had left so many years ago. He hadn't seen her since that summer, though he had wanted to drive out to her many times. He owed so much to her.

He walked towards the farmhouse and knocked softly on the door. A bouncy brown-haired, jade-green-eyed girl opened it, followed quickly by a stunning brown-haired, brown-eyed woman. Lance looked from the girl to the woman and saw her smiling.

"Hello Lance." she whispered.

"Hello Kristin." he replied. She smiled and looked down, picking up the little girl.

"Lacey, this is a very good friend of Mommy's. Lance."

"Hello Mr. Lance. It's very nice to meet you." said the precious little thing before looking at her mother. "Can I go back and play?"

"Yes, honey." She put the little girl down and slowly opened the screen door that separated the two.

"Is she......mine?" Lance whispered. She smiled.

"Yes." She looked down. "I meant to tell you, but.....I had assumed you had fallen for someone you're own age and didn't need somethin' like this."

"Kristin, I fell in love with you that summer. And not a moment has passed where I don't remember you." He took her face in his hands. "I have been with other women, but none of them ever compared to you." She smiled and kissed him.

"I love you, Lance." she whispered. He smiled slightly, putting her down.

"But," he continued. "I couldn't...." He looked away. "I couldn't come back until I was sure I was out of love with you." Her smile faded as he looked back at her with tears in his eyes. "My wife is waiting in the truck for me."
