Huntington’s disease mostly affects the striatum, a section of the brain under the surface of the cerebral cortex it helps to regulate movement, cognition and emotion.

Finally, scientists are able to use mice give the disease to them by actually recreating the disease. Before this scientists were trying to work on cures by using dead brain tissues.

A region at the back of the brain immensely packed with nerve cells is the first confirmed link.

Alzheimer’s is a progressive neurologic disease where many areas of the brain shrink and stop functioning causing steady memory loss and other cognitive skills.

Pheromones

In 1956, there was a powerful sex attractant called pheromones for silkworm moths. A group of German researchers took 20 years to isolate it.

In animals the relationship between mating and pheromones is straightforward. For instance, sea urchins release pheromones into the surrounding water, releasing a chemical message that alerts other urchins in the area to release their sex cells simultaneously.

A chemically pure pheromone was devised called “bombykol” for the silkworm moth, “Bomby mori” from where it was such an attraction. It was noted that it announced, “Come to me!”  In great distances also that a single female moth released all the bombykol in her sac in a single spray she could acquire at least a trillion males in a second.

The term “aphrodisin” is used by researchers because it is considered a protein for a smaller molecule that’s tightly bound to it and possibly the real pheromone. This liquid works with VNO because male hamsters don’t respond.

The time of ovulation is regulated by pheromones—one that makes ovulation more possible and the other halts it and there is even less of a chance.

Scientists are very controversial about whether or not humans influence thoughts about sex, food and territory with communication through pheromones.
