As I
sit and watch the rain pour down,
I
feel a breeze through my hair,
And
catch a glimpse of you playing there...
I
see clearly the little yellow raincoat,
Tiny
little wadding boots upon your feet,
Bouncing
ringlets from under your hat...
I
see your smile, and hear your laugh,
Big
blue eye's saying please don't cry
But
I do cry, as the rain pours down...
I
never saw you, never held you,
The
hurt was so strong I couldn't breath
How
could you be leaving me?
What
did I do wrong, I ask into the silence
Why
can't you be here, would it have been so bad?
This
pain is so much worse...
She
is here with you, can't you see?
The
little yellow raincoat, tiny little boots
Bouncing
little ringlets, she's here just for you...
As
the rain pours down, I pray it never stops
For
this is when I have you here with me
And
the pain is gone for awhile...
