Author Unknown
He who lives his life alone
writes a poem to be found
when ink has faded, almost gone.
A poem read without someone
will never produce a sound.
For, he who lives his life alone
discovers silence is the one
and only thing that stays around
when ink has faded, almost gone.
That heartache is not your own
to carry till you’ve fallen down.
He who lives a life alone
has counted years, but never grown
to be a man renowned
when ink has faded, almost gone.
And so his name still goes unknown,
his work denied each time around.
And so he lived his life alone
like ink that fades and is gone.
