Neither Memory Nor Magic: A Miklós Radnóti Website

Miklós Radnóti was one of the eleven million
victims of the Holocaust.

He was drafted to the Heidenau forced-labour
camp with four thousand Jews.

He was killed and buried in a mass grave
with twenty-one other people.

Still, he is remembered today as an individual,
as one of Hungary's greatest poets who not only
maintained his humanity through the most
atrocious conditions, but also held onto
his love of life and nation.
