How Can You Forget

How can you forget
all the things we did and shared?
How can you forget all the
love and kisses we had
for so many years?
How can you just
toss me away like this?
How can you just walk away?
How can you forget
our wedding day,
so long ago, but as if yesterday?
As memories don't grow old.
Still, so vividly played in the
playground of our souls.
Sounds go by and music fills the air
with the wedding march beginning.
Many tunes floating by since then
but, ending in just
the whimpering sounds of tears.
How can you forget that day
your first-born was held,
and the smiles upon the
little faces that we made?
How can you forget how they played,
upon our little screened porch?
How can you forget them?
How can you forget me?
How could you ever forget us?
