After surviving a long harsh bitter cold,
We emerge from our shelter and do not feel old.
Trees begin to show true colors
Green starts glistening in the sun
Dreams of what is now to come
Everything is in the past
All the dark and cold
New light is given to everything we see
White doves soar into our soul
Flowers begin to sprout
It is then we know we can win our bout
With a new day, a fresh season
All the darkness happens for a reason.
But spring is here to remind us that things get bad
And then we start all over
Don’t be afraid to feel sad
Just be afraid to have never tried
You have a fresh new start every day
Spring is just a reminder of why we stay
