MEMORIES

The familiar face of a passerby
triggers memories of days gone by.
Days of an otherwise forgotten past,
In your mind they have massed.

Memories of past time tales,
In your mind they do assail.
Leaving you confused and broke,
On the memories you do choke.

As they flood your mind with grief,
Wishing you could find relief.
And store them in a locked place,
Out of reach if time and space.

Memories of pain and sorrow,
Hoping, hoping for a pleasing morrow.
Begging for a silent mind,
for the painful memories it does remind.

WOW. THIS WAS A EXCEPTIONAL POEM. THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE READING THIS AND THINK, WHAT IS HE TALKING ABOUT? I'LL ANSWER YOUR QUESTION. THIS POEM CAPTURED THE SPRIT OF LIFE. JOY, PAIN, HAPPINESS, SORROW ALL ENCOMPASS THE ESCENCE OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT. NOW I'M NOT SAYING THIS IS THE BEST POEM I'VE EVER READ BY A NON-PROFESSIONAL POET BUT THIS IS VERY GOOD.

BUT AS ALL THINGS DO THERE ARE THINGS THAT COULD BE BETTER. THE STRUCTURE OF THE POEM WAS THAT ALMOST THE WHOLE STANZA WAS IN ONE RHYMNING OF ONE MIND. IN OTHER WORDS IN SOME PLACES YOU DIDNT KEEP THE RHYMN GOING. BUT ALL IN ALL YOUR CHOICE IN WORDS WAS WHAT I LIKED AND I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOUR NEXT PIECE OF WORK.
