DEATH'S DOOR

-Slowly now I drift to sleep
-Just to awake at a later date

-The hospital has nice beds
-But how those summer days when I was just 13 stick with my head
-The fields of flowers swallowed me whole, just like snow at the north pole

-But now I shall die
-And I know just why

-Suddenly things start to pass me by
-Now my heart is stopping
-Pulse is dropping
-Air is hard to pull in and push out
-Life was grand but now I'll do without

-Goodbye cruel world that tortured me so
-Goodbye beautiful earth that loved me so much
