I was trying hard not to give up and fight
I just wanted to believe that you were going through a change
And anything between us that was lost upon
I held onto so that maybe one day we could be the same
But as the time moves on and I get older
That beautiful, warm thought seems to grow colder
Its an emptiness that's been planted in me
The more and more I realize that you'll never see
