"Thankful"
As I sit here now
And write this piece
I am thinking of you
No words can describe how I feel
My smile can?t stretch that wide
There are no ?I love you?s?, ?thank you?s?, or hugs that could make up for what you?ve given to me
Unrealistic, I keep thinking this may be
And I?m losing track of time in the middle of the day
You have loved me unconditionally through thick and thin
Never stopping once to question what trouble you might get in
We have a bond so special, one that rings so true
I can?t imagine living another day without you
Stopping sometimes to take a moment to thank the Lord for the greatest gift on Earth
That?s more than I could ever want
A friend and companion like you
