It is good to quote BG Lee's Motivational Message to CancerStory Webpage.
"I particularly remember a passage in one book I was given. It said that a positive outlook may or may not cure you of cancer, but it will certainly make the disease easier to bear, and will help you live life to the full despite the cancer. I found this helpful, realistic advice, although not always easy to follow."
"When cancer strikes a person or his family, often we are reluctant to talk about it. But there is nothing shameful or unmentionable about having cancer. Talking about it helps you to unburden yourself of worries and fears, and allows others to let you know that you are not alone, and help is available.
According to StraitsTimes Jounalist Ms.Chua Lee Hoong, in her words...
'And he said, 'No, we are not covering blocks. We are meeting people'.
'At the market - and I have never forgotten this - when he was going around shaking hands, a fishmonger demurred, saying that his hands were dirty. Lee Hsien Loong stuck out his hand and said, 'No Singaporean's hands are dirty', and shook his hand firmly'."
BG Lee is an intellectual and a scholar with energy and he will not compromise to any form of the challenges in up holding our nation, Singapore.

"My colleague also remembers the first Lee Hsien Loong walk-about in Teck Ghee: 'I was very impressed by how he handled his grassroots chaps who were trying to rush him along by saying, 'We have to cover XX number of blocks'.
