Something to Hope For
I’m so unsure of what the future holds for us.
I’m so unsure of when we will be taking this journey together.
I want to know everything before it begins, but I can’t.
Some things in life are not worth knowing in the beginning.
Like a rose in a garden, if it were to grow already in bloom,
there would leave nothing to hope for.
Since it blooms over time and not at the beginning,
there is something to hope for.
As far as the journey, you being there with me brings some surety.
Knowing that this is one less road that I have to travel alone.
Knowing that when I fall you will catch me, gives me something to hope for.
Speechless Expressions
A smile here, a touch there, a brow raise, a grin.
A kiss on the cheek, a blank stare.
A plethora of speechless expressions.
Some evil and malicious, some heartfelt and true.
Uncertain feelings, uncertain longings.
Thinking, pondering why feelings are so strong.
A gentle caress that feels just right.
As if that is where you belong.
In the arms of this wordless person.
Ashamed to express feelings that leave me breathless.

Like the ones that come to visit elementary school teachers
A dance was all he asked of me
A dance was all so I complied with glee

The music kept going and out dancing never stopped
I danced so much I thought my knees had locked
Beautiful and Romantic are my memories of that moment
Some stranger in the night his attention I kept
His nor my motives were to be understood
