A lost token on a heart long broken
In the night dreams which I have given thee
Crying to be set free
Bewildered by the lone puzzle piece laid before me
I dare ask you is this our final destiny?
Must I give in to the disappointments finally?
Submergered between the relms of hatred and forgiveness
You did this.
Killing the beauty which could have been bliss.
How easily you've allowed my love to be dismissed.
In you're darkest moments I was there for you.
A shoulder to lean on, a friend to talk to.
You made me experience emotions I never knew.
But the love I carried inside, you never had a clue.
Defenseless, defenseless.
You left me with a cold, hard heart.
Careless.
I no longer know how to love or recieve it in return.
My soul burns.
I now make people work for something they will never earn.
I believe...
I believe in the love of yesterday.
Long walks in the park,
And come what may...
I still believe theres going to come a day
