What the women dream… lots to buy with convenience. What the men dread… empty pockets. What the children desire… some time free from the parental control. This is the shopping mall. Just move down to some of your nearest mall and you will experience a whole new world. All the men with their drooping face, hyper children, and inattentive women, well all this and much much more.
Women take the greatest pleasure in emptying the pockets of their husbands. In such circumstances all you can desire in variety and quality. This is what the malls offer them. So it is a heaven in disguise to them. They are often wide eyed looking at each of the stuff anxiously. Then what is the list and where is the list? All the desires are put into the trolley and rolled along.
And where are the kids? Well some are hanging in the trolley or rolling it with great enthusiasm. While there are others, who are a little older, roaming around in the store. This is one time when they know that their parents are not going to say anything to them. So it is party time. They pick up things of their interest and show it to their folks who put them back to their place on the ground that they are useless. Though even the cosmetics that might be finally used just once are right now considered the most useful of all the things in the universe.
And now for the men. If you see just any person bored and sad, well then it is the head of the family. This is the person who can see his salary going in the trash can. He knows that the prices are higher than the normal market rates. He knows that there are many things that are of no importance in long run. He knows that he could have invested his money in some much better business. But there is one more thing that he knows. It is that one word out of his mouth would lead to a third world war. So he is quite and most embarrassed.
