Burning to Ash

I stood there, in the gloomy night,

With flicker of a spark

In the coal, set afire by side

The chill of the dark

Ambitious little spark it was

That excited the coal so far,

That it blushed becoming the only cause

Of heat and then a scar

The scar grew, breaking the body apart

When fumes grew up in air

The spark had left to give a start

To another life for the flare
