Terri Schiavo and Estelle Browning were both used by George Felos and James Barnhill to further the pro-death cause.

He knew the issue at stake - who should make the final decision for the patient - was important, but he had no idea at the time that the case of young Terri Schiavo was poised to move from the courtroom to the newsroom to Congress...There was to be an evidentiary hearing in 2002 involving five experts..." That's right! The same Dr. James Barnhill who diagnosed Terri as being PVS. And the same Barnhill, who along with George Felos,played a main part in the Estelle Browning Case.

In 1998, James Barnhill saw Terri for 10 minutes and told Judge George Greer that she had no chance of recovery. Despite that claim later being refuted by multiple doctors and experts on caring for incapacitated patients, Greer accepted Barnhill's prognosis.
