Jamie and Christine's Wedding

Welcome to our wedding homepage. Our wedding is on June 21, 2003. We look forward to sharing our special day with you!

We would like to take a moment to thank our parents, Donna Smith and Richard & Rita Proulx, for their love, encouragement, and support in making our wedding day special.

Wedding Details

Our wedding will be held at the Chase House at the Inns at Mill Falls.

The ceremony begins at 5:00 pm and will be held on the outdoor patio.
Following the ceremony, there will be an outdoor cocktail hour on the patio.

The reception will begin in the Flagship Ballroom at 6:30.

Accomodations

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Inns at Mill Falls. To reserve a room, you will need to ask for the Proulx/Smith wedding. The room block closes on March 20, 2003. There is a two night minimum stay, so to stay at the Inns you must stay Friday and Saturday nights. There are three restaurants at the Inns, as well as a Marketplace with shops, Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream, and a beauty salon. This added convenience, however, makes the Inns a little pricey.

Another possibility would be the Margate Resort. Located approximately 20 minutes from the Inns at Mill Falls, the Margate offers family suites, and an on site restaurant.

We also recommend The Wolfeboro Inn, which is about 25 minutes from the Inns at Mill Falls. It is on the pricey side, but very scenic and New England-y.

In addition, we recommend the Ellacoya Resort & Cottages. Chris's parents stay here every year.

Getting to the Inns

The closest major airport is the Manchester Airport, which is approximately an hour from the Inns. You can also fly into Boston's Logan Airport, which is approximately two hours away. For driving directions and car rental information, click here.

What to do in the Lakes Region?

The scenery alone is reason enough to plan a visit to the Lakes Region, but for those who wanna have fun, there are countless attractions and things to do. Cruise Lake Winnipesaukee aboard the Mount Washington or take the family to the Funspot or rent a speed boat for the day. Another place to check out is Weirs Beach, besides wonderful views of the lake it has a boardwalk, arcades, amusement park, and even a railroad station. Shopping in the Lakes Region features a mix of everything from antiques to shopping at the factory outlets. Whatever you're looking for, you are bound to find it. For additional places to shop in the Lakes Region click here.

Where to Dine?

There's no shortage of food in the Lakes Region, but here are some of our favorite restaurants in the area:

If you want good, old fashioned Italian Food, visit Fratello's in Lakeport.

The Common Man chain of restaurants includes everything from the Tilt'n Diner in Tilton (the best diner food in the area!) to Camp, which is located right at the Inns at Mill Falls in the Chase House (that's the restaurant that will cater our reception dinner). Chris has eaten at 4 of their restaurants and loves them all.

Mame's Restaurant is a short walk from the Inns, and offers a variety of dishes.

If you are looking for live entertainment, Patrick's Pub & Eatery is the place to go.
