THE BRIGHT SIDE

Did something bad, disappointing, sad, hurtful, depressing thing happen to you lately? Yes? Okay, stopt that thought right there. Be still and listen to this.
Bad things happen to us all the time, don’t tell me you have a perfect life. Some bad things we forget, some depresses us. At that moment you’re probalby thinking that thing ruined your life. Erase that though and think: There is a bright side.
Thinking of the bright side won’t erase the dark side, because it stays. But that’s the exact reason why there’s not always only pain. The dark side won’t go away as a reaction of thinking of the bright side. But it’s always better to be able to frown and smile instead of only to frown. Like I said a while ago: Life consists of light and darkness, smiles and frown, good and bad. Seeing the bright side of a bad situation allows you to accept it, understand it, smile dispite of it and maybe even let it go, forget it.
If there’s a very tall, but not long wall in the middle of a field and one side is pure sun and on the other side is shadow. Try standing in the sun and you’ll get burned down. Try standing in the shadow and it’s cold, dark and depressing. That’s the place where you are standing in the situation I’m talking about now. What you’ve got to do now is look for the sun. And stand next to both sides. Don’t try to climb the wall. You think it’s a shortcut, but it’s not as easy as you think. Don’t try to break through the wall, you think it’s quicker, but it will only ware you out more, take your strength and time. Do it simple, walk. Just walk to the end of the wall, it’s not htat long. If it is long, or look longs. Look at it on the bright side, you’ll have time to think. The length of the wall depends on yourself. If you thought stay depressed it will probably take longer to find the end. The birghter you think, the sooner you’ll find the sun.
You see, what we do, what we think lay in our hands. And so does the concequences of it, the length of your depressions. There is a bright side, you just have to find it. And I know we all have the strength to do it.
