SEE ALL THEN KNOW LOVE

There is one subject I’ve been talking about lately and that is loving.
A person cannot love, know love, learn from it if they haven’t experienced the pain of love. One going through life never having experienced the tiniest heartbreak can never really love. That person will live with the ignorance that love is all good, you can do anything with it and will never really appreciate it. A person like that will only play around with love, until love gets them back.
How can someone appreciate the sun if they never experienced rain and clouds? How can someone be happy on the top of the mountain if they've never been in the valley. How can someone appreciate a rose if the thorns never hurt their fingers?
Of course, the rose is again a good example. Love is only comparable with a whole rose, not only the beautiful part. You can only know a rose if you’ve also see the painful part.
People not experiencing the pain of love live in an illusion thinking they know and appreciate love, but they don’t. People experiencing the pain of love will turn out hating it or loving it even more. Those people can judge, because they know it all. People only experiencing beauty or only pain, see only one perspective. That’s not enough to know, judge or appreciate. Love is not the only thing you have to experience though, it’s with a lot of things.
Don’t mix up pain of love with missing a boyfriend or girlfriend. That’s far from pain. Missing them is delight, because you know you will be back together. Missing someone who isn’t a part of you anymore, that is something painful.
So you see, do not think you know something, can judge something and really appreciate something, unless you’ve been through the whole thing. And don’t think too soon that you’ve already been through the whole thing.
