Sleep

I need a place to rest my soul…
As this pain in my heart has all control.

I need a chance where I can breathe
A happy place I wish to seize.

Take the dark sooth my heart…
Give me a new day that I can start.

Stop the ramblings in my head…
All the awful things I dread.

Lighten the feelings in my chest…
Give me time to heal and rest.

Bless my heart and troubles keep
As I struggle to find sleep.
