BUT FIRST, A WORD FROM OUR SPONSOR...
-----------------------------------------------
KALEIDOSCOPE GOES OFF THE AIR: SHUT DOWN BY FCC

-----------------------------------------------

Despite our good amount of technical competency noticed by FCC inspectors from that office listed above, they gave a firm warning on March 20th to station manager Marcus Page to shut down the station immediately. Page gave in to their threats of "ugly" action against Kaleidoscope, and volunteered to cease operating this unlicensed station. BUT THE WARNING GAVE KALEIDOSCOPE A LEGAL OPTION THAT THE FCC MAY ACCEPT, thereby rescinding the threat of destroying the equipment/station! The radio operators who have used Kaleidoscope for free speech noted that the written warning from the FCC allows us TEN DAYS to respond (until March 30th) with proof of our "authority to operate this radio station." YOU CAN HELP provide the proof of our authority. Sign the petition! We live in a supposed democracy, wherein THE POWER IS IN THE PEOPLE.

PETITION TO FCC: Kaleidoscope Radio Is Under the Authority of Gallupians

Whereas Kaleidoscope is still committed to public peaceful service, and whereas people of Gallup should have a say in what goes on in our airwaves, and whereas the only matter the FCC doesn't like about Kaleidoscope is the "unlicensed" stature of the station, and whereas their licensing scheme restricts intelligent, mature, economically challenged, technically competent broadcasting (which infringes on our freedom of speech and is arguably unconstitutional), and whereas Kaleidoscope Radio Under Gallup (104.7 FM) has caused NO HARM to any entity in Gallup, WE ALL SAY, "We the people of Gallup hereby support Kaleidoscope."

If you are want to bring "KALEIDOSCOPE RADIO 104.7 FM" back on the air in Gallup, please consider sending a letter of support with the reasons outlined above to :
