I woke up to cold and wet on my face. I took a deep breath, and tried
to open my eyes. The sudden light hurt me, even though it wasn’t bright. I
moaned; I was being eroded alive by the waves of pain in the back of my
skull. A hand softly brushed my cheek and a voice whispered in my ear,
"Come on, get up."

I slowly opened my eyes and looked at Devin, "I was hoping that they
wouldn’t send you too… I feel so bad… but," I smiled dejectedly at him,
"I’m glad you’re here with me. I guess now we can be together."

He leaned down and kissed me softly on the lips. He looked into my
eyes, "I would go anywhere to be with you. I love you, Lysandra."

I whispered softly, "I love you, too."
