Sonnet
At night the darkness is overwhelming
Consuming everyone’s deepest dark fears
The sun doesn’t have power for taming
The moons bright, sporadic, shining, white tears
When the moon is content the sun attacks
Aiming for a little shining glory
The tears grab the moons’ many small barracks
Wants to retreat, scampering from morning
The sun rises with out fear or worry
To scare away the darkness and make day
Revoking the dark and blinding fury
The moon’s lip quivers with nothing to say
Processes repeat to end and renew
Nothing can change, nothing will ever do

Villanelle
A rocking chair sits in the corner
Old oak wood barely supports it
A rocking chair rests in the corner
The old oak rocking chair is weak
Rocking chair nails are rusty and red
The nails of the rocking chair is weak
It’s curved on top with a rounded bottom
Brown fake leather for the upholstery
It has big oak rockers on bottom
The owner has no remorse for leaving
It sits alone, away from existence
Even the basement supplies are leaving
The wood is dark cherry-it glooms the room
No presence never comes nor leaves the chair
It is in a dark lonely basement room
It has hope, enough to last forever
The hope to be used and to be enjoyed
It will stay in the basement forever
For always, for never, and, yes, forever.

Haiku about Favorite Person
in the World:
Weird Al is the bomb.
He is very funny and makes
Very good parodies.
[Explanation]
Explination of: Sonnet
The sonnet explains how there are constant battles in a persons life.
The person loses some, wins some, and cries over many. At the ending
of the poem nobody wins this particular battle because of the major
points of damage taken from both people.
Explination of: Villanelle
The villanelle is about antiquity and frailty. So many people are forgotten
when they are old that they don't find a place to fit in. The "rocking
chair" is an old person in a nursing home that has no children
or grandchildren to entertain and enjoy as guests, so they just sit
there with dissapointment.
Explination of: Haiku
The Haiku is very self-explanitory. One of my most favorite people
in the world is Wierd Al. He is only one of them purely for the comedic
value. His lyrics and parodies are downright hilarious.
